Trump Remains On Brand with his Disdain and Disrespect for the Military
Washington, DC, During a recent campaign event, former President Trump insulted veterans and the military by disparaging the significance of the Medal of Honor and suggesting that a civilian award was “better” because MOH recipients were “shot up,” “in bad shape” or “dead.”
This statement continues to demonstrate Donald Trump’s utter disrespect for the military and veterans, especially those who have been wounded or paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. "Our military deserves a Commander in Chief who honors and respects the sacrifices they make in defense of our country and freedom," said Retired Navy Rear Admiral Michael Smith, Founder and President of National Security Leaders for America (NSL4A), adding, "Our nation’s Medal of Honor recipients have earned the highest level of honor and gratitude from everyone in our country – especially the President of the United States.”
