Trump's empathy deficit is disqualifying

I first learned in the Navy, you cannot lead those whom you do not understand. You cannot help nor care for people if you do not care about them.
For that reason alone, no one in search of effective leadership should vote for Donald Trump. As his own nephew, whose son suffers from acute disabilities that begin in infancy, reported, Trump said “these people,” that is, people with acute disabilities, “the shape they’re in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.”
I am certain that Trump would drive empathy from the White House. After all, he believes such people suffering such afflictions, children or not, are better off dead.
